Totem: Fitness Everywhere
GreenFit’s Totem app enables users to locate, book, and unlock compact gym stations across Italy’s parks, offices, and venues. Designed for a seamless experience, the mobile and web apps combine intuitive interfaces with QR-based access, offering a complete, subscription-free workout solution.
Context
GreenFit’s Totem is a compact, two-faced gym station — barbells, plates, kettlebells, dumbbells and other essentials — installed in parks, offices, halls and other venues across Italy, unlocked by scanning a QR code with the Totem app, the same way one would unlock a shared scooter or bike.
Problem
A workout without a gym subscription or even a gym building meant coordinating three very different users around one physical+digital system: customers who need to find, book and unlock a totem in seconds; venue partners overseeing the totems installed on their own premises; and GreenFit admins running the network behind all of it. Each needed its own interface, but the whole system only works if unlocking a totem feels as effortless as unlocking a shared scooter.
Concept
Make working out as easy to unlock as a shared scooter — friction belongs in the workout, not in getting to it.
Mobile app
The mobile app (iOS and Android) lets users locate nearby totems, book a session, and unlock it with a QR scan — the entire flow built around getting from “I want to work out” to “I’m lifting” in as few taps as possible.
Partner web app
Venue partners get a dedicated web app to oversee the totems installed on their premises — usage, availability, maintenance status — without needing access to GreenFit’s own back office.
Admin back-office
A separate web app gives GreenFit’s team full oversight of the network: managing totems, users and partners across every venue.
