Theatrical, brave against all risks, absolutely unexpected, what he does is of the order of wonder. I had the pleasure of working with André on his first solo concert poster, “Camomila,” and the following year on the whole design of his new album, “Orgônio.” Following a dream André described to me himself, I created the digital collage that works as the album cover, the poster artwork, and the communication collaterals promoting the album.
The main artwork for the album features André’s dream: a man standing in the snow with a TV antenna in his hand. From this small hint, I developed the whole concept of the album design, using the digital collage as style. Dreams are a chaotic, irregular, and fantastic mix of images, memories, and sensations, and collage, by juxtaposing images, photographs, drawings, and styles of multiple objects into a single work, has the power to communicate both individuality and unity as a holistic whole.
The second artwork for the album extends the oniric landscape of the main one, keeping as trait d’union the central circle - which recalls the inner CD, printed with the same starry night of the main artwork — and the snowy imagery.
