Intercultura offers international exchange programs for students, facilitating cultural immersion and educational experiences across various countries. The organization provides comprehensive support for participants, including placement in host families, language training, and educational guidance.
Through these programs, students gain valuable global perspectives, develop language skills, and foster intercultural understanding. Intercultura's services are designed to promote personal growth and prepare students for a more interconnected world.
We at Geckosoft won the competition to develop Intercultura’s CRM system, and our mission was to simplify the management of student applications for international exchange programs and build the backend of the new student enrollment portal. The complexity lay in understanding the myriad paths an application could take throughout its lifecycle, from initial submission to final placement. Integrating years of disparate and complex databases, the CRM had to serve as a powerful backend for a new student web app, and as a key element to orchestrate several backend services and databases.
Design-side, we focused on creating an intuitive interface for the Intercultura staff, enabling them to manage applications effortlessly. The system automates various administrative tasks, provides real-time updates, and ensures data consistency across all platforms. By emphasizing usability, we made the CRM easy to navigate, despite its powerful capabilities, allowing staff to focus on what truly matters: supporting students in their transformative intercultural journeys.
